While we did not stay here we drank delicious cocktails on the roof here. The service was absolutely lovely for what you would expect a five star hotel should be.
The entrance to the hotel is truly something to marvel at and trust me a lot of people come in to do just that.
Up on the roof is absolutely stunning with views of the grand canal opening up to all the Venice islands.
Our cocktails were perfectly made and went down a little too easy they were so good.
I highly recommend stopping by for even just a drink.
I'm sure the rooms are just as nice. If we could afford it we would've stayed there for sure.

I cannot make you understand how much I have been longing to come stay at this hotel. Oh dear, if I had known what I would get I would not have planned to come here and spend $3,600
Arrived early (12:00) and checked in the day before online with the new #bonvoy app. I also booked the hotel thru the bonvoy app, that might have been a mistake.
I was promised they would call me as soon as a room was ready, check in Rome was 3:00pm, 3:49 I finally get a call that our room is ready.
Looking online I was very sure I booked a room with a view, you can see my pictures and compare. But once in the room I can see nothing but dirty windows. A total bate and switch!!
So far check in was late, my room is like a bad joke, heading to dinner on the terrace I surely hope this will be better somehow. -

A historic hotel with beautiful views and superior service.
When you walk into the hotel, the lobby will amaze you as you look at the beautiful and detailed decor. After you check-in, the receptionist will walk you to your room and give you a quick history of the magnificent building. The hotel still uses a turn key that is modified with modern day technology which will light up a green light when you unlock your room. You deposit your key with the concierge when you go in and out of the room so you don't have to carry the heavy key all day.
There are three buildings so if you are in building three (left), then all rooms start with a 3 no matter what floor. If you are in building 2, then your room will start with a 2. The main building seems to follow the traditional numbering system. -

Quintessential Venetian Grand Hotel! Still has its old world charm. Hope it doesn't "renovate" to become a cookie cutter box like some other chains (St. Regis). Top floor terrace has a great view of the lagoon. Lovely suites. Great location to most sites, better than Gritti Palace which is slightly out of the central action. Rooms facing the lagoon can actually be loud doe to the Valparetto station. If you come for quiet romance and want lagoon view, go for west of San Marco. If you are seasoned traveler that wants central location, charm, the most Instagrammable lobby, bar and terrace, then Danieli is for you!
